# Season Plan FY2 S4 # Introduction Centum is a complete catalog of all the brands, all the products, and all the materials that can be found in malls and homes. Homebodies feel comfortable buying and using any products only after conferring with Centum, because Centum teaches them the options they can choose from and the details they must be aware of during purchase and during use. To homebodies, Centum is an indispensable tool for making life comfortable. # Customer Story For context, review Catalina the Homebody in the Target Customer Profile section in the [Enterprise Plan FY2 S4](Enterprise%20Plan%20FY2%20S4%205e9a66819d324292ac9e1d9b4e700de6.md) document. Catalina is considering purchasing a throw blanket. **Google and Amazon rush her to finish shopping.** Google and Amazon show her thousands of throw blankets, then hurriedly ask her whether she is looking for throw blankets that are made using wool, or are crocheted, or are priced between $50 and $100. Not only does Catalina at this point have no idea which material she wants, she is not even sure whether she really wants to buy a throw blanket. At best, she is thinking she wants a throw blanket that is “soft but not too soft”. Google and Amazon can help her place an order at the end when she has a product in mind, but Google and Amazon are inferior places to begin any shopping journeys. (And at the end of a shopping journey, when Catalina has a product she wants to order, any entity can help her as well as can Google and Amazon.) **Malls are too small.** At the biggest department store in the biggest mall in California, on the entire floor dedicated to home products, there are only 6 brands selling throw blankets, and only 1 or 2 throw blankets per brand. A visit to a mall can be a nice starting point for a shopping journey. Catalina can get some baseline information against which she can compare later information. For example, she can touch throw blankets at the mall and learn how warm cotton and cashmere are. Even if the mall does not have any throw blankets made using linen, she can understand what linen is like when she hears that “linen throw blankets are cooler than those made using cotton”. She can also discover credible brands. She knows those brands there are credible, because a respectable distributor (the department store) decided to display those brands instead of other brands in the limited store space. However, Catalina does not feel comfortable finishing her shopping journey at the mall. Malls carry products that are “good enough for most people”, not necessarily “best for her”. Catalina desires to check all available information on the internet, then choose the product that is “best for her”. This is where Centum comes in. **Centum guides her to shop at her own pace.** Unlike Google and Wikipedia, Centum is focused on the shopping scenario. Unlike Google and Amazon, Centum understands that shopping is a fun activity that Catalina wants to spend time enjoying. Catalina searches “throw blankets” on Centum, and gets an overview of the materials with which throw blankets are usually made, weaving patterns like “Herringbone” and “Chevron”, and brands like “Sferra” and “Coyuchi”. Centum understands that Catalina likes to support local brands, so Centum points out that Coyuchi is a Californian brand. Catalina clicks “Coyuchi”, and gets information on whether it is a credible brand, what it is famous for, and what other products it makes. She is now checking out bath robes instead of throw blankets. Centum keeps guiding her, teaching her useful information, letting her pivot as many times as she wants to without feeling rushed in her shopping journey. # Product Plan ### Catalog Centum Catalog Database will have information on **every brand and every product and every material in homes and malls**. At the end of this season, we will have a site with **1M articles** to be distributed on search engines and social media. Pay special attention to following topics: Fashion and Beauty, Fragrances, Flavors, Cooking Recipes, Sustainability. ### Accounts Members can make accounts, save interesting contents, and get custom recommendations. A special feature that sets apart Centum is Feed Control. Using the feature, each member can speak naturally to the AI Recommender and change how contents shall be curated daily. ### Monetization Centum will host ads including ads informing advertisers how they can advertise on Centum. We will also offer members the option to pay a subscription fee to access special features such as instant generation, 10X context memory, and interactive elaboration.
