# FY1 S2 W2 Roadmap Our century plan is to make a world where people can dream and make dreams a reality. Our decade plan is to give people the power to develop programs and create contents. # FY1 S2 W2 Polaris Economy The preceding generation made a world for us where anyone can use programs and consume contents. The power to participate in the internet economy as consumers greatly enriched the way we live. We now envision the next step. We envision fulfilling the long tail distribution of desires of people by giving long tail distribution of people the power to develop programs and create contents for them and people like them. Our work will greatly enrich the way people live and work. Each person will be able to make irreplaceable contributions to the economy from a position where their individual characters matter. Each person will be respected for who they are, what they have experienced, what they think. Here is a story of Alex. Alex is very tall and has been having difficulty buying clothes. There are only few people who are as tall as Alex, so no developers felt inclined to develop for people like him. Consequently, Alex had to select from a small number of available options from a small number of niche brands. But with Junwon, Alex is no longer just a passive consumer. Alex now has the power to be an active producer. Alex creates a new AI assistant, commands it to find new big clothes from all over the web everyday, and help users rank them by preference. Alex asks it to accept samples of clothes people like and dislike to rapidly learn preferences of people. The AI assistant greatly helps not just Alex but also people like him. Users of the AI Assistant have been sending Alex notes of gratitude. Alex is motivated to help them even more. Alex creates another AI assistant and asks it to help him generate fashion designs for big clothes. He shares designs with his followers, and turns most popular design into a real product. # FY1 S2 W2 Polaris Space This is a new way to cognitively understand computers. In the past, people used apps, and consumed contents. Now, members on Junwon app use AI assistants to create, manage, and consume data. (We call them members since they are no longer just users. Members actively create and contribute). Data is the ends, and AI is the interface that lets people interact with data. Humans guide AI, and intervene for correction when AI makes mistakes. A member manages AI assistants and data logs by placing them in rooms in a space. A space can have any number of rooms, and a room can have any number of AI assistants, data logs, and rooms. To interact with an AI assistant or a different human member, a member creates a room, and invites them. Doors to a room can exist in multiple places, but there is only one true location of the room. There are different models of rooms that determine what kind of room it is. The base model can be modified to be any other models, but members or AI assistants may save custom room models in order to create similar rooms easily. Every space has a special room called the control room. Members with permission can change settings and see a directory of all members in the space including human members and AI assistants. Permissions are set at the space and room levels. If a member has access to a room, then the door will open for the member. Member visits AI Center to find new AI assistants to add to the spaces. Member can create and teach new AI assistants. Instead of navigating the rooms, member can ask AI assistants in the room to perform actions, by navigating the rooms on its own. For example, a member may have a room of calendar events, such that the top room is calendar, next level is years, next level is months, and so on. Member may place a calendar assistant AI at the top level, and ask it how many more hours in a day the member was in meetings this year so far versus last year. Such task may be inconvenient to users, but easy for AI. Users can visit other spaces and other rooms using addresses like Junwon://Space/Room/Room/Room. Say a member wants to go shopping with friends. Member may enter a mall space, a store room, then invite a friend and a shopping assistant. This starts a session. Member can bring shopping cart to their own space to resume shopping later. When purchasing, mall requests access to back space member account room to log transaction. Times during which members engage in activity are sessions. They can have a chat session with friends, or go visit a mall with friends and shopping assistants a shopping session. Now, this is all very interesting to us but not to the people. Let us now explore how a Studio may exist as a space where people can develop programs and create contents. # FY1 S2 W2 Polaris Union Junwon app is an online community with Generative AI. Members make rooms dedicated to specific topics, and share AI-made contents in posts and comments. Let’s follow Alex. **Discussing news with friends and strangers** Alex enters a technology news room. He finds that a famous developer released a new app for generating fitting background music to web comics. He jumps in on discussion. He pings friends to check it out, and adds his reaction to the post with an image he generates with AI. **Discovering and creating fashion designs** Alex enters a fashion room. Ranker AI that was added by room host recommends Alex posts based on its own logic and its understanding of Alex’s preferences. Alex brings his own assistant to the room and asks it to rerank it with his own logic. He is struck with an inspiration. He opens a room with a fashion design assistant, then adds examples of what he wants and what he does not, then commands it to make a jacket. Using words and images Alex provided, assistant generates several examples. Alex posts one and gets great reactions. Note that this room is inclusive room, so host only sets exclusion list of disallowed members. Here are other behavior patterns of Alex: - He collects examples to give AI later. He either shares the data with app one by one, or imports in bulk as CSV or with data connectors. - He links multiple AI assistants in a graph to get complex work done. Alex feels like he has the power to create utility for people he meets on Junwon app.
