# FY1 S1 First Party App Plan # Context Our FY1 S1 focus is to develop the technology to power Junwon App Platform. To guide the development of the platform, we need scenarios of apps to support on it. We first tried working exclusively with scenarios of real customers, but we learned that real founders are not able to provide clarity or maintain stability. A wise founder in charge of a young company is bound to explore variations of ideas, sacrificing clarity and stability in favor of long term optimizations. For us, however, trying to support moving targets introduces distractions that make our technology development process costly and slow. We want to support founders to experiment rapidly on Junwon App Platform once it is ready, but while we are developing it, we need clear and stable target app scenarios to support. # Targets We will develop First Party (1P) apps in order to: Priority 0: Motivate development of Junwon App Platform using stable app scenarios which we have full control over. This is to minimize distractions to development of technology. We have full understanding and full control over our own 1P apps. By targeting to support our own 1P apps on Junwon App Platform, we will minimize distractions while developing the core foundation of Junwon App Platform. **Priority 1: Invite 3P developers to try developing on Junwon App Platform.** With 1P apps, we will demonstrate to developers what kind of apps can be made using Junwon App Platform. We will also open up the app-level code for our 1P apps so that developers can clone and modify our apps to start theirs easily. **Priority 2: Deliver utility to users.** The 1P apps we develop will deliver real and immediate utility to consumers. ### Metrics We target to: - Complete the development of Junwon App Platform. If we can develop it to support at least one app (a 1P app), we are already in a better position than where we are today. From there, we can work with more apps, 1P and 3P, to grow the capability of Junwon App Platform. - Maximize number of developers who launch an app to production (with at least one code change deviation from 1P app clone starting point). We do not target to: - Maximize number of users using 1P apps. - Maximize direct revenue from users using 1P apps. We must not: - Lose money while providing 1P apps to users. Cost per user must be no less than revenue per user. ### Story A developer opens a developer forum, and sees a post about an interesting app. Developer clicks the link, and immediately sees the app working well. At the bottom of the app, there is a promotion stating that the app was made using Junwon App Platform. The advertisement invites the developer to try making an app on the platform as well. Developer has 2 choices: clone that app or start making a new one from scratch by following tutorials on the documentation. Developer chooses to clone the app. After making some modifications, the developer is now the owner of a great online app on Junwon App Platform. # Plan Repeat: 1. Design an online app that can demand platform-level features from Junwon App Platform and can provide real and immediate utility to users with a positive unit economics. 2. Develop the app on Junwon App Platform in iterations such that the complete app can be made within a day from scratch. 3. Distribute the app on developer forums, and invite visiting developers to make similar apps or clone the exact app on Junwon App Platform. Repeat if making an additional 1P app is expected to lead to same or greater learnings than directing the same effort and time to supporting 3P apps. Stop otherwise. Alternatively, consider making clones of popular online apps, then providing them as starter templates. # **Review** AI Platform is the execution of this plan.
