# Palace Ring — Platform Vision

## What It Is

Palace Ring is a platform where many people each have their own palace. A palace is a personal operating system — everything one person needs to live and work, in one place, with an AI butler who knows it intimately. The ring is what you get when many palaces come together.

The name is literal: a ring of palaces. Not one palace with many rooms — many palaces, each sovereign, each personal, forming a ring.

## Why It Matters

For most of human history, only the very richest people could afford butlers. And butlers weren't just for luxury — they were productivity infrastructure. A good butler handled the cognitive menial work that otherwise consumes a person's life: organizing information, managing correspondence, booking appointments, tracking health, handling multi-step errands that require judgment and follow-through. The person with a butler could focus on living — on their family, their work, their enjoyment — while the necessary labor got done.

Everyone else had to do it themselves. Not because the work was beneath them, but because they couldn't afford to delegate it.

AI changes this. For the first time, it is possible to give every person a butler — one who can read and write, organize and remind, research and follow up, handle the ten-step task that would otherwise take an afternoon. The cognitive labor that was once offloaded only by the ultra-wealthy can now be offloaded by anyone.

## The Hosting Model

When someone signs up, we deploy a palace for them. We host everything. They access their palace over the cloud through a browser — no installation, no configuration, nothing to manage. Their palace is entirely theirs in terms of data and experience, but we run the infrastructure.

The master's job is to live their life and talk to their butler. Our job is everything else.

## Any Device, One Login

A palace is accessible from any device — any phone, any computer, any tablet. The master logs in once through palacering.com and their entire palace is there: emails, notebook, health records, diary, family, everything. No separate logins for separate services. No syncing. No setup on a new device.

This is only possible because we host everything. The palace lives in the cloud, not on a device. Pick up any phone, log in, and you are home.

## The Metaphor

A **palace** belongs to one person. It has rooms for every part of their life — diary, health, family, home, travel. Their data lives there. Their butler lives there. It is entirely theirs.

A **butler** serves the palace. They know every room, every record, every preference. The master doesn't navigate menus — they tell the butler. The butler handles it. This is how frontier AI becomes accessible: not as a tool masters configure, but as a person who just helps.

The **ring** is the platform that makes palaces possible. It provides the software, the infrastructure, and the butler intelligence that each palace runs on. When enough people have palaces, they form a ring together.

## The Butler

The butler is always present. Every page in the ring has access to the butler. The master never needs to leave an app to ask for help — the butler is there.

The app list grows as master needs grow. Every app is designed to be usable through the butler — the master doesn't need to understand the app's structure. They just say what they need.

## The Platform

**Per-palace filesystem** — each master gets their own deployed data environment. No data is shared between palaces.

**Butler intelligence** — the butler runs on frontier AI (Claude), with memory of the master's life that grows over time.

**Channels** — the palace connects to the outside world: email, notifications, scheduled reports.

**Heartbeats** — scheduled jobs that keep the palace informed: morning briefings, reminders, monitoring.

## Design Principles

**We host, they live.** Masters never touch infrastructure. Sign up, get a palace, talk to the butler.

**Butler-first.** Every app is designed assuming the butler is the primary interface. No technical menus, no configuration screens, no forms the master has to understand. The butler is the UX.

Junwon's palace is the first palace. It is the reference implementation — proof that this works, built to the highest standard. Everything built for Junwon's palace becomes the platform others run on.

The goal is many palaces. Many people, each with their own sovereign personal system, their own butler, their own data. None sharing data with each other. All running on the same ring.

The ring grows as palaces multiply. That is the business: giving people their own palace.
